Bruno . . .

Case Study submitted by Andrew Turkell, DVM, CVA, CCRT: Calusa Veterinary Center -

Boca Raton, FL.

Bruno is a 10-year, 5-month neutered male Labrador Retriever presented to our Hyperbaric Center for

non-healing, deep dog bite wounds to both rear legs.

Both legs had multiple surgeries that dehisced over 10 weeks prior to being referred for hyperbarics.  All wounds cultured atypical mycobacterium sp.

We added to the otherwise normal wound treatment protocol of wet to dry bandaging every 3-4 days, HBOT BID treatments at 2 ATA for 45 minutes 5 days a week
