9 Yrs. 5 Mos. old Spayed Female Schnauzer, Miniature, presents as a transfer from rDVM for continued care for swollen, cold, and discolored RF paw ~2 days post-op from a mass removal on the leg.


1/24: Placed under anesthesia for mass removal and dental.  Mass was attached to RF P1 so P1 was amputated.  It was closed 2 layers and cruciate's for skin.  SSD and a bandage was placed.  During the dental right maxillary premolar was extracted.  She was given Rimadyl SQ and Clindamycin IV.
She was rx'd Vetprofen 25mg: 1/2 tab po q24.

1/25: Rechecked b/c foot swollen and oozing serum/blood.  She was non-weight bearing on the foot.  The bandage was removed and K-laser and hydrotherapy/PT was performed throughout the day.  ~4:40p one of the skin sutures was removed.  She was left at the hospital for boarding until the limb was improved.

1/26: The paw is significantly swollen, discolored (purple/bright pink), cold to the touch, and minimal pain response.  Referral to Heart of Texas for HBOT was recommended.
